Establishing a presence in new social spaces is an increasing challenge for businesses. Kayako is running a viral Support Desk Giveaway campaign to rapidly build connections and presence with potential and existing customers in social networks, including Twitter and Facebook.

The giveaway starts July 13th 2009 and runs for five days, with one prize drawing per day at 1900 GMT. To enter, participants are asked to post a prescribed message to their Twitter profile, promoting the giveaway. Participants can also enter by becoming a “Fan” of Kayako’s Facebook page.

As well as giving away unlimited licenses to their flagship helpdesk solution SupportSuite, Kayako is offering a number of popular pieces of technology as prizes: including a Macbook Air, iPod Touch, Blackberry Smartphone, Samsung HD TV and a Sony HD Camcorder.

The event ends Friday 17th July with a grand finale prize consisting of a SupportSuite license, an Apple Macbook Air and a $1000.00 donation to the winner’s nominated charity.

“We are always looking to engage our existing and potential customers in new areas and spaces. One of the key reasons for our success has been our ability to reach out to a broad market of customers – letting them know that helpdesk and service desk software is no longer reserved for technical elite, or big businesses. Our campaign aim is to get the word out about accessible helpdesk software.” says Jamie Edwards, Kayako’s Operations Manager.
