IT Professionals Add 67,000 Computers and 10,000 Printers to the Spiceworks Network Each Day
Spiceworks User Base Grows to 1.2 Million; Company Highlights Growth at SpiceWorld 2010
AUSTIN, Texas (October 21, 2010) – Today Spiceworks(TM), Inc. co-founder and CEO Scott Abel kicked off the company’s 3rd annual SpiceWorld 2010 user conference by sharing details on the growing popularity of the company’s free IT management software and community among the world’s small and mid-sized businesses. Some of the growth figures reported during the sold-out event included:
- More than 1.2 million IT professionals at small and mid-sized businesses worldwide now use the free Spiceworks application to support 37.5 million workers and manage 66 million computers and devices;
- Each day, the Spiceworks software manages an additional 67,000 computers and 10,000 printers;
- The Spiceworks application is currently used to manage 7,250 petabytes of storage, and 8 petabytes are added every day;
- More than 345,000 help desk tickets are worked on in the Spiceworks network each day; and
- Spiceworks users spend $200 billion annually on technology products and services.
